7:09 – exaktly what i would do after winning this hand.
The play is just great, from both. Nothing they did wrong imo, if you think about quads and fold there in daniels spot, you play scared money. sick cooler, no doubt, but definatly nothing you can do about it.
Gus Hansen is from a small town call Havdrup in Denmark. My french teacher teach him, believe me, all knows this in Havdrup! I still live here 20 years old, but gtg soon!
@zandaofly i agree, however in the situation gus was UTG. he wouldnt open UTG without a suited connector, 2 face cards or a pocket pair. 5-7 and 5-8 arent in his range to open the pot with, 7-8 and 5-6 are though, and 55 and 99 obviosly
@seago101 not necessarily, dan 3bet gus pre so gus could be c/r the flop just to figure out if hes ahead with 7-5 or 8-5. i think dan didn’t wanna fold cause he didnt wanna fold a full house. he can beat 65 and 85 but is losing to 99 55 and 88. a call seems mathematically correct.
also gus wouldnt check raise with a hand like 5-7 or 5-8 on the flop. he either had a str8, bottom 2 or a set on the flop. personally i believe dan put gus on 5-6
daniel was putting gus on either 5-6, 7-8, 55 or 99. obviously he could beat the first 2 hands, and it was 2:1 to his money so he called. gus would not open the pot with a hand like 5-7 or 5-8 like gabe said. he could with a hand like 5-6 suited or 7-8 suited then call dan’s min raise, so ya just unfortunate for daniel, he had to call really
@ninjaslied yes I know the difference between you’re and your. It’s just i’m not concerned with proper grammar when I’m making a youtube reply to idiots like you. Yew suk mayger dik mai frend.

0:26 Esfandiari: ”out of position against Gus Hansen and Daniel Negreanu”
Gabe Kaplan: ”that’s exactly what Antonia is thinking of, he is out of position against…”
You gotta love Gabe as a commentator, he always repeats what the player is saying

How many times did Gus say “sick”? It’s like that’s a poker player’s favorite word (although I’m guilty of it, too)
